Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I have a passion for racing my bike. I’ve competed in my first race when I was nine years old and have been hooked ever since. I’m 19 now and over the last ten years I have set and achieved many goals. I’ve competed locally and traveled to many regional and national events, racing against some of the best elite and professional cyclists in the country. As you can imagine, it has taken many resources to succeed at each level. It takes so much more than showing up on the bike and racing. I currently race on the KCCX/Verge Elite Team and our sponsors provide me with the tools needed to race, but one more important resource that I am seeking is cash sponsorship. In addition to a full schedule of domestic Cyclocross races, my goal this year is to participate in the U23 Euro-Cross Camp in Belgium in December and to qualify for the U23 World Championships in the Czech Republic in January 2010.

In order to attend the Euro-Cross camp in December, there are several domestic UCI qualifying events that I must race. Achieving results in the U23 category at these races will be paramount. Traveling to these domestic and European races will be a costly task. In addition to the support I will receive from KCCX, I am attempting to raise additional funds to help me achieve my goal. I would like to raise $5,000 by December 1st to help offset the costs of racing. I have set-up an online donation site where anyone can make a donation if they would like to support my efforts.
