| ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. YOU CAN STILL REGISTER AT OUR OFFICE AND THE DAYS OF THE EVENTS. REGISTRATION WILL BE ALLOWED UNTIL ONE HOUR BEFORE EACH RACE STARTS. We have a full weekend of action packed racing lined up for you in Mt. Pleasant. The schedule will include (3) separate races – a Pro Road Race spanning 105 miles, an Amateur Road Race covering 33 miles, and a Downtown Criterium which features a 0.8 mile loop. We have also created an Omnium for those participating in multiple events. Oh, did we mention that there is $15,000 in prize money to be handed out or that 9-time Tour de France cyclist FRANKIE ANDREU will be our announcer?!? The Downtown Criterium will take place all day on Saturday, June 13th, and is open to almost every category of rider out there, including FREE races for the kids! This criterium route was designed for speed and exciting corners – plain and simple. There are no menacing hills to deal with, just a couple of nice long straight-aways, six fast corners, and streets filled with spectators begging you to ride faster!!! Our Pro Road Race, which takes place on Sunday, June 14th, will be held under a rolling closure to ensure rider safety and will see riders racing through several communities across Isabella County. For those of you looking for a challenge, if the strong head winds on some of our straight-aways aren’t enough, we DO offer several respectable hills to separate the men from the boys. Our Amateur Road Race covers a portion of the Pro Race Route, taking you down through Shepherd and back up around into Mt. Pleasant. Though this course is only 33 miles in length, make no mistake, it will not be the total distance that will create the struggle. It will be the fact that everyone racing against you can ride at a sprint pace for the entire distance!!! This will create a very competitive, fast paced road race with an exciting finish fueled by screaming spectators. All we can say is “Don’t miss it!” |
