The Tour de La France Committee added a US Cycling Federation and US Handcycling sanctioned CRITERIUM races in addition to the Family Fun Ride and other Tour de La France activities.
The CRITERIUM Circuit begins on Main Street, passes the historic Downtown Courthouse, turning left onto Earle Street, then left onto McDuffie Street and left onto East Calhoun, cycling back to Main Street. Cycling enthusiasts will have a bird's eye view of the athletes as they pass by the multi-lap circuit.
The Tour de La France was first organized in 2009 to raise awareness of Anderson County and the City of Anderson’s commitment to the “Complete the Streets” program.
All money raised in the Fun Ride and Challenge Ride goes to the Cancer Association of Anderson.
